Chelsea not having a good season so if we play at our best there is no reason why we can't take something from this match

Going to be fun this one. They’ve got so many toys but an under pressure manager who’s unsure how to play them. We have got our mojo back. Will be a great day out. I’d take a draw but fancy us to sneak it.

I suppose the big negative from yesterday was that once again we played a side that was there for the taking and once again we couldn't do it. The Paquetta sub was ultra negative, but had no problem with Benny coming off, he was bloody awful and left his shooting boots in London.

If we get to 15mins at 0-0 Moyes will bring on two more defenders and another holding midfielder to make sure we grind out that two nil loss he craves.

Fucking cunt. Get out of my club.

We'll be aying the badge, not the team in this one, because we've got the idiot David Moyes.

If Moyes sticks to type I would expect Soucek and maybe Fornals to start. Respect the 0-1 loss

Some encouraging signs yesterday but still plenty to work on. The back three is looking fairly solid. Zouma to come in for Kehrer if he's fit, which will make it even more solid, though his lack of pace could be an issue. No change to the midfield or wing-backs, who all acquitted themselves well.

Up front is still a major concern. Bowen and Benrahma were both hopeless yesterday. I would keep Bowen in the side because he's been looking better in front of goal. Ings comes in and I would drop Benny and play Antonio on the left.

Fabianski
Zouma Ogbonna Aguerd
Coufal Rice Paqueta Emerson
Bowen Ings Antonio

That is always the problem. Irrespective of their form, we treat the Manchester clubs, Liverpool Arsenal and Chelsea with far too much reverence and respect, irrespective of their current form.

Liverpool and Chelsea this season are both eminently beatable and we should be going at them when we play. Literally nothing to fear as results have proven. There’s no excuse for going all defensive at the weekend.

I think Moyes has got it right about Benrhama, he is just very hit and miss. I’d use him as an impact sub.

Bring Ings in for him and stick Antonio out wide.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Chelsea - Official Match Thread - Preview
Benrahma is an interesting one. He’s risk vs reward. He’s pretty much the only player we have who will try to take someone on or play that risky pass, or to do something ambitious to make things happen. When it comes off it looks great but it has to be accepted that a fair amount f times it’ll go wrong or we will lose the ball. Especially in the situations we find ourselves in due to lack of ambition he’s often highest up the pitch and quite isolated so has to put the ball in danger a lot of the time.

This is why he’s so frustrating to watch at times and this sort of thing is Moyes’ absolute kryptonite and why he clearly doesn’t feel comfortable with Benrahma, compared to someone like Fornals. He really splits opinion on here as well. When he’s not playing loads of people coat off the manager, and when he does play he gets coated off for being shit.

Proper conundrum. What he really needs is to have better support play and options round him rather than having to take players on all the time. Be tempted to try him more centrally as well rather than on the left.

Benrahmas finishing is worse than when he was at Brentford but does panic the other team

Which moyes will we see, Chelsea are crap at present we have beaten them in the past and are at home. So will it be the chick, chick, chicken or will we actually take the pitch gunning for 3 points? Really sick of this idiot, our squad should be well clear of relegation instead we are in the mix entirely due to moyes and his lousy coaching team. For f#ck sake go for it!!

If he starts with Soucek and Fornals out wide, I hope there is a riot

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Chelsea - Official Match Thread - Preview
Soucek, Lanzini should only play last resort and be sold asap.

Unfortunately while Soucek is around Moyes will always look to pick him ahead of Downes. And same with other older players. Seems to have been blind to the fact most teams use young pacy players as much as they can for the current version of the Premiership. It’s also why young players get few chances. Moyes seems to try and keep his old mates happy by giving them as much time as possible on the pitch. Completely disregards how they are playing/performing.
